This third pattern 1941-dated bayonet measures 15 1/8” overall with a 10” blade equipped with single unstopped fullers, numbered “7531 / d” on the reverse ricasso, marked “41 cof” on the obverse ricasso. The bayonet features a removed muzzle ring, “T/O” mortise, and flashguard. The metal surfaces retain an even thinning blue with scattered oxidation and pinprick pitting. The dark wood grips remain in good condition with light abrasions concentrated on the obverse handle and overall mild handling marks. The steel scabbard is numbered to another bayonet and has toned to a dark gray patina with scattered areas of oxidation. A fine early-war bayonet by a desirable maker.
